The annual Local Government Convention and Exhibition is a pivotal event in the WALGA calendar each year, with delegates, officers and partners attending from across the State to attend workshops, network, collaborate, hear from international guest speakers and participate in the AGM and Honours awards. It’s also an opportunity for delegates to be inspired and the Conference’s theme and creative development plays a key role in achieving this.
Commencing around October/November each year, we first develop the look and feel for the chosen Convention theme in consultation with WALGA staff who formulate the design brief. From there, we translate the approved design into various items of supporting collateral and marketing materials for the event, including programs, flyers, registration brochures, menus, table cards, name tags and certificates. Each item has its unique requirement and our design team ensure that this is top of mind when translating the chosen theme to the various items – for example the tickets require clear communication of the event’s core details such as dates, venue, times, etc whereas the official program is a comprehensive document that contains a multitude of information covering exhibitor information and schedule of events. It’s very important that these subtle yet important details are considered and not overlooked during the design process. The successful production of all of these items to a very high standard is of paramount importance to WALGA. We’ve been proud to work on this major annual event for 10 years.
